How the Coins and Tokens Work

When you join Name.ART, your account is credited with 1,000 coins. These are your working capital. Minting a referral token costs between 5 and 1,000 coins depending on the domain tier:

Your token is active for six months. If the domain is registered during that period, through Get.art, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Alibaba, or any registrar worldwide, you earn the reward. It doesn’t matter where the buyer registers it or what price they pay.

What happens to your coins? If the domain sells while your token is active, you earn your cash reward plus get back 110% of the coins you spent. If the token expires after six months without a sale, you get back 90% of your coins. This means your coin balance is largely self-sustaining. A successful sale actually grows your coins, and an expired token costs you only 10% of what you spent.
