Four New Prizes Join the .ART Award
Public screens in Times Square, the Tezos blockchain, augmented reality and a residency in Georgia. The 2026 .ART Award now offers nine prizes, with applications open until 1 November.
An artwork today can live in many places at once. It can hang in a studio, loop on a screen above a city street, sit on a blockchain, wait at a set of real-world coordinates for someone to find it, or take shape during a month away from home. The four partner prizes joining the .ART Award this autumn each open one of those places to the artists who apply.
Launched in May to mark the tenth anniversary of .ART, the Award now brings together nine prizes with more than $50,000 in total value. The new additions come from Disiva, Art on Tezos, illust. and the Ria Keburia Foundation, and they share the Award's interest in practices that move between physical and digital contexts.
Disiva Prize: Times Square, May 2027
One selected artist will present their work in a public digital exhibition in Times Square, New York, in May 2027, with a 10-second slot in continuous rotation for the full run of the show. The prize is open to every discipline, as long as the work can be shown in a digital format: digital art, moving image, AI and generative work, photography, architecture or expanded media.
Founded in 2021 as Art Innovation Gallery, Disiva presents art on large-scale digital displays and public screens, bringing contemporary practice to audiences in busy urban spaces.
Art on Tezos Prize
The Art on Tezos Prize recognises outstanding artistic innovation within the Tezos ecosystem. One artist will receive 5,000 tez and a dedicated spotlight on the primary Tezos social media channel.
Tezos has grown from a grassroots hub for experimental media into a medium for institutional experimentation, with partnerships including HEK Basel, the Museum of the Moving Image, the Musée d'Orsay and the Serpentine. Its energy-efficient design and long-term preservation initiatives have made it a home for code-based contemporary art.
AR illust. Prize
For an artist exploring augmented reality, illust. will award a $3,000 prize package made up of cash and/or products, services, credits and other support, to help the artist keep developing AR as a medium.
Founded by Rob McCarty and Tim Prochak, illust. lets artists place digital works at real-world coordinates, where they can be discovered in physical space. Its tools include the illust. AR Studio and Memoria, a companion app that anchors works on-chain through the GeoSpatial Registry.
Ria Keburia Foundation Artist-in-Residence Prize
One artist will spend a month in Georgia in 2027: three weeks at the Foundation's Artist-in-Residence program in Kachreti and one week in Tbilisi, with food, travel and transport to and from Kachreti covered. The residency offers dedicated time for research and new work, and a way into Georgia's contemporary cultural landscape. The Ria Keburia Foundation promotes contemporary Georgian art internationally and
connects Georgian and international artists through residencies at home and abroad.

Applying stays simple. Artists submit a .ART domain that points to wherever their practice lives online, and each submission is considered for every prize it fits. What makes a submission stand out is the story behind the work: how it came to be, what it is made from, and the context it grows out of.

Key dates
Applications close on 1 November 2026. Semi-finalists will be announced on 6 November and finalists on 20 November, with the winners of all nine prizes revealed at a ceremony during Miami Art Week in December.
